With the improvement of China’s electronic technology, the protection device on our decanter centrifuge is more and more perfect, to ensure that the centrifuge is not damaged in various emergencies. Common protection measures are:

1, main bearing temperature alarm

The temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the main bearing in real-time, and when the alarm temperature is set, the buzzer alarms, but does not stop. If no intervention is taken, when the temperature of the main bearing rises to the set maximum temperature, the PLC of the control system will execute the shutdown procedure, which can effectively protect the main bearing to prevent damage to the centrifuge.

2, machine vibration alarm

Through the vibration sensor installed on the rack, real-time monitoring of centrifuge vibration intensity, such as monitoring intensity exceeding the set value, the buzzer on the control panel will alarm, the indicator light flashes and the PLC executes the shutdown procedure.

  1. Overcurrent protection of main and auxiliary motors

There are two ways: one is to use the current relay, according to the maximum bearing capacity of the motor, and give the current relay a setting value in advance, this given setting value range can ensure the good operation of the centrifuge; The other is to detect the current of the main motor and the auxiliary motor through the frequency converter, when the load current exceeds the set value, the alarm and stop to ensure the safety of the centrifuge and personnel.

4, mechanical torque overload protection

When the transmission torque of the differential is overloaded, the rotor connected to the input shaft of the differential will press the lever to rotate, and the other end of the lever is connected with the compression spring, and the compression spring is compressed to the limit position, and the fork rotating with the lever will trigger the limit switch to cut off the power supply of the main motor so that the motor stops running. The device is equipped with a planetary gear differential, which is often used in oil drilling mud separation and other safety and explosion-proof occasions.
