KOSUN LS584 Series Shale Shaker is a high-frequency linear-motion vibrating screen machine, equipped with three screen panels and two vibrating motors, and offering a choice of manually adjusting screen frame angle while drilling (AWD). How to deal with shale shaker in drilling rig heating problem?

When using a shale shaker in drilling rig, if you encounter overheating, as a shale shaker manufacturer, let’s discuss how to handle the situation when a shale shaker in drilling rig overheats!

Improper bearing selection
The use type, limiting speed, installation fit size, clearance, and self-lubricating performance of bearings have high requirements. Common bearings are prone to damage when working under harsh conditions. If the bearing selection is improper during the design phase, the bearing service life will be shortened.

Solution: Use specialized bearings. Commonly used bearings for vibrating screens generally include cylindrical roller bearings and spherical roller bearings. Both have a large radial load capacity, and the former has a higher limiting speed and a stronger ability to bear dynamic and static loads. However, it requires higher coaxiality of the bearing seat hole. The latter has good self-aligning performance and can compensate for the different shaft problems caused by the processing of the bearing seat hole, but it cannot withstand pure axial loads.

Uneven force during bearing assembly, such as uneven force on the inner and outer rings during cold assembly, resulting in a certain amount of skew between the inner and outer rings of the bearing or the bearing hole, leading to faster wear during operation.

Solution: Use specialized tooling to ensure that the inner or outer ring of the bearing is evenly pressed during the assembly process.

Large error in the center of gravity of the shale shaker, causing abnormal operation of the screen body and overheating and damage to the bearings.

Solution: The ideal working state of the shale shaker is stable operation of the entire machine, with consistent amplitudes everywhere. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the production and installation accuracy of the product, ensure that the center of gravity position does not shift, and try to feed uniformly.

Loose fixing bolts of the exciter, or failure to install anti-loosening spring washers, causing the center of the exciter to tremble, leading to overheating and damage to the bearings.

Solution: For the first use of the exciter, recheck the fastening bolts after running for 2 hours and 50 hours. If any loosening is found, tighten it immediately.
