Working Principle of Linear Motion Shale Shaker

Linear Motion Shale Shaker produce vibration by using inertial exciters. Linear shale shaker used  motor driven exciter, the exciter has two axes, each axis has an eccentric weight, and whirling to the opposite direction. It is also known as biaxial linear shale shaker, the two gears meshing to ensure synchronization. When two eccentric disks rotate, the centrifugal forces F generated by the two eccentric weights cancel each other out in the x-axis and add in the y-axis. As a result, a reciprocating excitation force is generated in the y-axis direction , So that the screen box in the y-axis direction of the reciprocating linear path vibration.

The surface angle of Linear Motion Shale Shaker is usually below 5 °, the screen surface vibration angle is generally 45 °, the screen surface in the exciter under the action of a straight reciprocating motion. Particles in the screen surface vibration under the projectile and fall, so that the material in the screen surface vibration of the process of continuous forward movement. Projection of the material and whereabouts of the screen surface has an impact, resulting in less than the sieve particles are separated by screening. Sieve screening efficiency and production capacity (capacity) are related to the screening of the angle of inclination, the vibration angle of the screen surface, the material’s ejection coefficient. In order to ensure high screening efficiency and large screen production volume, the appropriate Ky (ejection coefficient) value must be selected, which is the same as the method of selecting the Ky value by the vibration sieve.

KOSUN patented shale shaker is an equipment with welded structure. Vibration motor & screen plate base are installed into screen basket with special parts. Screen basket is fixed on the adjustment beam. At each of the four vertexes of the screen basket there is a vibration damping spring, which can prevent the adjoining parts and devices from being affected by the vibration.

There are several screen panels on screen basket, and they are fixed and adjusted by snap-on screw bolts and hooking tensioners so that the combined effect of horizontal and vertical supporting bars may provide enough strength for screens basket. And the panels appear in an arched shape, thus making the panels more easily tensioned and more intimately connected with the frames, blessing them with longer service life as well as increasing the processing efficiency of particles.

Factors that determine the efficiency of linear motion shale shaker

In oil drilling mud treatment system, the drilling fluid that returns from the well first passes through a linear motion shale shaker and then into other solids control equipment. Shale Shaker is a filtering mechanical separation equipment. It features the first and fastest separation of solids in the solid phase in an entire solid-phase clean-up system, as well as an economical and efficient separation plant.

 Factors that determine the efficiency of  linear motion shale shaker:

(1) Vibrating Form – There are three types of vibrating screen motions, circular, elliptical and linear. Each form of motion is generated by the difference in the center of gravity of the system. Linear movement is the oscillator on the top of the system before the center of gravity, the screen frame to produce linear motion, thus clearing the solid phase. Straight-line motion has a constant cut-off speed of the cuttings, which can be either flat or slightly inclined.

(2) Amplitude and frequency – The sieve capacity of the shaker depends on three parameters: amplitude or stroke, vibrational mode and pendulum rotation speed. Most circular motion shakers have 4-6 times the acceleration of g, most of the linear motion of the shaker has 3-4 times the acceleration of g.

(3) Slope and mesh number of screen cloth – The screen cloth moves the whole drilling fluid through vibration to separate the solid phase. Elliptical shakers are usually placed at different slopes. AWD angle adjustment system:

KOSUN patented AWD angle adjustment system can raise or lower the end of screen basket while the machine is working. This part includes two vertical column assemblies that are connected on the upper beam assembly and are attached to the shaker base. The mobile part of AWD consists of the lower beam, limiting device that controls vertical movement and screw rod that drives the upward and downward movement of the screen basket. Both ends of screw rod are hinged with the upper and lower beam assemblies respectively. Positive and negative rotating handles can make the screen basket move upward and downward respectively.
