Trenchless construction is a horizontal drilling project used in construction or infrastructure projects. In the process of trenchless construction, drilling mud is needed to ensure the performance of trenchless drill. To make drilling mud reusable and to reduce drilling costs, contractors often use mud recovery systems to recover drilling mud.
KOSUN has decades of experience in the design and manufacture of mud recovery systems, especially in trenchless projects with a variety of compact mud systems available to customers. According to users’ different requirements and site area limits, KOSUN can provide mud recovery devices with different configurations to meet the requirements of different working conditions. There are usually two types of mud purification systems for trenchless construction: one is the desander swirl purification system and the other is the self-supporting mud recovery system.
Sand removal swirling purification system covers a small area and is economical. The system is a combination of a cyclone and a shaker, which are mounted on a small collection tank. The desander swirl system is a two-stage separation device, whose function is to remove coarse particles in drilling mud. The desander swirl system is mainly used in engineering that can accept large diameter solid drilling mud, such as piling.
The mud recovery system independently developed by KOSUN can be divided into four separation systems: coarse cuttings separation, sand separation, mud separation and ultrafine solid separation. The higher mud recovery system has a larger mud tank with more room to store purified drilling mud and more crown space for more separation and purification equipment. When the tank surface space is enough, the customer can also choose a centrifuge to reduce the ultra-fine solid phase in the drilling mud, to avoid the enrichment of ultra-fine solid phase in the drilling mud.
The elevated diesel tank is installed with explosion-proof floating-ball level switch; KOSUN 40+5m³ elevated diesel tank is the special-purpose oil tank to provide and store diesel for power machines (diesel engine, generator, etc.) of drilling crew. therefore the centrifugal oil pump can deliver the oil in oil storage tank to elevated oil tank automatically. In case of low oil level, the explosion-proof level switch opens, the oil pump starts automatically and oil transportation begins; in case of high oil level, the explosion-proof level switch closes, the oil pump closes automatically, and oil transportation ends. In order to prevent failure of explosion-proof level switch, the equipment is especially installed with oil return pipe. In such a way, the oil will not overflow from the tank even under failure of level switch.
When elevated oil tank is lifted up, the oil pressure rises. The oil in tank will be transported to equipment requiring diesel at drilling site from three channels through filter and flowmeter, and it can also flow back to the oil storage tank. The oil consumed by equipment can be read out from pointer of flowmeter.
After the elevated diesel tank is installed, check to ensure that all valves are in corresponding states. Park the refueling truck beside the oil tank, connect the outlet opening with oil feeding buffer tank or inlet opening before opening it and choose to start the 50CYZ-20 centrifugal oil pump; pay attention to the rotation direction of the oil pump. After opening or closing corresponding ball valves, and starting the oil pump, the oil flows into oil storage tank through filter, flowmeter, pipeline, ball valve and centrifugal oil pump. With liquid surface rising, the column of magnetic reversible level meter display changes from white to red. The junction of white and red colors indicates the liquid level of oil storage tank.
Produced in the process of oil and gas exploration and development, drilling fluid waste amount is large, due to containing various products at the same time, the concentration of pollutant composition complex, high, high chromaticity, chemical oxygen demand (cod), the traditional approach is difficult to adapt to the new environmental protection requirements, an urgent need to accelerate drilling waste management efficient treatment and new technology, new technology and new equipment development, application, change the traditional waste drilling fluid end management ideas, set up the drilling pollution “wellsite closed loop” process control and new concept of clean production and complete the engineering application, Realize the new drilling clean production mode of “well standardization, green source, process reduction, end resource and equipment integration”.
Based on this, we look forward to the next trend: first, we should strengthen the exploration and field application of environmental protection drilling fluid, develop intelligent environmental protection drilling fluid technology, and reduce the difficulty and cost of end treatment and disposal of drilling fluid waste by greening the source. Ii. Improve the selective removal technology of micro and poor quality solid phase in drilling fluid, upgrade the treatment device, formulate the group’s unified drilling cleaner production standards, well site design standards and performance standards of recycled drilling fluid, and maximize the recovery and utilization of waste drilling fluid and waste water through process reduction. Iii. Establish the technical specifications for the classification, classification, temporary storage, treatment and disposal of drilling fluid wastes. According to different well depths, different drilling fluid systems and different lithologies, adopt corresponding treatment and comprehensive utilization technologies respectively, and realize the transformation of drilling fluid wastes into treasure through end-resource recovery. Iv. For drilling fluid wastes with different physical properties and different pollutant contents, different modular treatment units are selected to realize the modularization and standardization of drilling fluid waste treatment equipment through the integration of equipment.
